These stories are a collection of humorous memoires of family travels, impressions, recollections, and friendships of my life in the USA. This book is a dedication to my parents who brought me to America and have given me plenty of material for writing.

The author is a good story teller making the most mandane events sound very funny. Her family emigrated to America from Russia when she was 6 years old and this gives her a view point unlike a typical American.The stories feature various events centered around her family, mostly her overprotective mother. The author takes this simple premise and turns her memories into funny little stories that are delightful to read. Especially if you recognize some of the behaviors in your own relatives. And chance are you will. When the book ended rather abruptly on the story about her grandmother I wished there was more.
Funny and delightful. I recommend it.
