Palm avenue is a fast paced read that brought me into the Hollywood dream and sent me packing back to my small town. Sex, drugs, movie stars and absolute lack of morality are depicted in the main characters whom It seems were hand picked from my hillbilly ridden state. One of my girlfriends even ended up in L.A getting head shots for the movies....Crazy. Thanks for letting me into your world and I did not even have to face the terrible traffic.Great Job Rob. Keep them coming.

Great character development. I couldn't put the book down I was so into each character. I felt like I was right there in the middle of the story. It was raw in parts but that made it even more believable. I really enjoyed it!
This is a really great book to read. Just really jumps out and grabs at your imagination.
I started this book and after the first 4 chapters, decided I couldn't read the raw sex depicted, so I continued reading it while skipping the sexy parts and then I couldn't put it down. I read it all in one day. I am older and not into sexy descriptions, although don't consider myself a prude. The book kept me intrigqued and the characters were well developed. I always consider a good ending to a story a very important part of a story and I felt that the ending of this book was believeable and satisfying, although not a "happily ever after".
I could not put it down! I found the interplay and development of the characters very entertaining. The premise of the book is good. For a fictional work, I think it nails the topic. The allure of fame, movie stardom, and money, drugs and booze is too much for some people and there the struggle begins. It seems true to life and a bit raw while being honest in a potentially helpful way. I cannot say more without revealing too much. I'm glad I bought this book!
I read this book in one afternoon while sitting on a beach in Maui, and the contrasts between the two locations could not be sharper. Rob has written a book about the dark side of Hollywood in such a way that I actually felt I was there. The raw and intense emotional feel of the characters and the story itself were mesmerizing, and I couldn't put it down until I read it all the way through. The character development is rich and complex, and while the story is a pretty typical take on Hollywood and the dark side of fame, the twists and turns were more than enough to give the genre a fresh feel. It feels like this was written from the heart, and I thank Rob for giving me a glimpse of his world thru this dark and ultimately uplifting book. It seemed to me that the message here is one of hope rather than despair, and that despite the dark times the characters faced there was still a glimmer hope in the end. Great job, Rob - I look forward to your next endeavor!
This is a good book to read. I could imagine almost being there in some of the situations & wanting to help some of the characters, that I had became attached to. I looked forward to each night when I had time to read more. Some of the craziness I think is honestly pretty close to what some people actually go through when going to Hollywood. It is a fasted paced book, a little racy at times & I did want the happy ending for a couple of them. I'm glad to have this book as part of my collection! Thanks Rob.
